Stability Condition of Methane Hydrate in Fine-Grained Sediment

چکیده
Stability condition is of critical importance for methane hydrate exploitation, transportation, and reserves. This study measured the stability conditions in fine-grained sediment with different dry densities (ρd = 1.40, 1.50 1.60 g/cm3) various initial water saturations by multi-step heating method. The experimental result showed that formation required lower temperature and/or higher pressure compared to bulk state. At same time, it found deviation degree P–T density saturation are completely from pure water. In addition, according nuclear magnetic resonance technique (NMR), changes NMR signal intensity during decomposition silt were analyzed. Regardless dissociation stages, liquid always distributes small pores. An empirical formula developed address capillary suction respect unhydrated within sediment. Furthermore, a phase equilibrium model proposed predict hydrate-bearing

Modeling Sediment Erosion and Redistribution in Fine-Grained Shelf Environments
My long-term goal within the EuroSTRATAFORM program is to increase our ability to predict sediment transport in fine-grained regions of the continental shelf. Field work and the development and application of models during STRATAFORM increased our understanding of these processes and improved our ability to predict them. The Adriatic and Gulf of Lions EuroSTRATAFORM sites offer characteristics ...

متن کاملHeat Transfer Analysis of Methane Hydrate Sediment Dissociation in a Closed Reactor by a Thermal Method
The heat transfer analysis of hydrate-bearing sediment involved phase changes is one of the key requirements of gas hydrate exploitation techniques. In this paper, experiments were conducted to examine the heat transfer performance during hydrate formation and dissociation by a thermal method using a 5L volume reactor. This study simulated porous media by using glass beads of uniform size. Sixt...
متن کاملExtracting Condition-Opinion Relations Toward Fine-grained Opinion Mining
A fundamental issue in opinion mining is to search a corpus for opinion units, each of which typically comprises the evaluation by an author for a target object from an aspect, such as “This hotel is in a good location”. However, few attempts have been made to address cases where the validity of an evaluation is restricted on a condition in the source text, such as “for traveling with small kid...
متن کاملUltra-Fine Grained Dual-Phase Steels
This paper provides an overview on obtaining low-carbon ultra-fine grained dual-phase steels through rapid intercritical annealing of cold-rolled sheet as improved materials for automotive applications. A laboratory processing route was designed that involves cold-rolling of a tempered martensite structure followed by a second tempering step to produce a fine grained aggregate of ferrite and ca...
